We are social organisms
Work for social development and human rights
In our society, we see many people who work to establish the rights of others. There are so many people who contributed to our national life’s great achievements, such as language movement, liberation war, a movement for the establishment of democracy or the protection of national resources. There are people around us but there are people those who work to solve our problem, whether it is the case of women’s torture or the problem of tube wells or roads in the area. They first tried to understand the problem, discusses with whom or who else has the responsibility to solve this problem. Then go to different people with others, go to the police station or court, work in the office-court. Ever see the rally and meetings with everyone again. There are so many people in us. These people are human rights activists as well as social workers. Any human being from a student, a teacher, a lawyer, a journalist can be a human rights activist if he works to establish the rights of others. The United Nations recognizes them as human rights activists. In a declaration in 1998, the state has given the responsibility of protecting human rights activists. There is also the responsibility of human rights activists in the announcement that is to say that the work of human rights should be peaceful, and no violence can be done in any case.
